Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-10-15

These terms govern your use of the Bankday API and website (the "Service"). By creating an API key you agree to them.

1. The Service

Bankday provides calendar, holiday and date-calculation data via an API. Data is compiled from public sources and rules published by payment system operators, exchanges and governments.

2. No warranty on dates

The Service is provided "as is". Holiday schedules can change at short notice. You are responsible for confirming dates that carry financial or legal consequences with the relevant operator. Bankday is not liable for losses arising from reliance on the data, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 3 months before the claim.

3. Accounts and keys

Keep your API key secret. You are responsible for usage under your key. One free account per person or organisation; we may suspend accounts that abuse the free tier or the Service.

4. Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe; overage is billed in arrears. You can cancel any time from the dashboard; access continues until the end of the paid period, then reverts to the Free plan. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

5. Acceptable use

Do not resell raw access to the API as a competing data feed, attempt to bypass quotas, or overload the Service. Caching responses inside your own product is fine.

6. Changes

We may update these terms with 30 days' notice by email for material changes.
